Breakthrough T1D

Pearlmark has participated in the Breakthrough T1D, formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Illinois Real Estate Games since its inauguration in 2018. Over $339,000 was raised for the 2024 Games, and the Pearlmark team was the Overall Games Champion and Fundraising Winner, for the third year in a row, and tied for second in the athletic competition. Since 2018, Pearlmark has raised $99,978 and the Illinois Real Estates Games has raised a total of $1,435,689.

The Breakthrough T1D Real Estate Games bring together more than 300 of the Chicago’s top brokers, developers, property managers, and industry leaders to raise critical funds in support of Breakthrough T1D’s mission to improve lives and drive life-changing research for the prevention, treatment, and cure of type 1 diabetes (T1D). City Year

Pearlmark works with Chicago City Year, an organization that is “supporting the development, growth and success of students in systemically under-resourced schools, while cultivating skills to be leaders in their communities and careers.”

Day of Service

This past Juneteenth, our Chicago team spent the day volunteering at Connections for the Homeless, a local organization that delivers a variety of essential services to people facing homelessness and housing insecurity. The Pearlmark team prepared and served lunch to residents and staff at the Margarita Inn (where 60+ people were housed), cleaned and organized donation inventory, and prepared bagged lunches for housing-insecure youth.

The Goldie Initiative

The Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative ("The Goldie Initiative") provides resources to prepare women for senior leadership roles in all sectors of commercial real estate, through graduate school scholarship support, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities.

Habitat for Humanity - Women Build

Pearlmark employees work with the Chicago branch Habitat for Humanity Women Build initiative, where “Hundreds of women come together to advance construction of homes that will be owned by women, right alongside the future owners.”

Pearlmark works with the Chicago branch of Humble Design, an organization that is “designing and fully furnishing home interiors for individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness.”
